In this newly created role, you will develop our strategy to ensure long term viability of our products within an online and in-store retail environment. With a hunger for innovation and identifying future market trends, you will secure new opportunities resulting in sales and portfolio expansion.

The Opportunity:
- Create and develop a strategic long-term plan to drive growth in the category, managing all aspects to ensure progress is in line with timelines
- Develop and manage strong supplier relationships, negotiating mutually beneficial terms of trade demonstrating solid influencing and negotiation skills
- Manage the development and enhancement of the major portfolio categories, identify key actions and deliver successful supplier execution plans
- Analyse sales data and utilise supplier insights to assist in the long-term category strategy, pricing and trend identification
- Manage individual and total category financial performance, including forecasting for product demand trends, managing and tracking budget, gross margins, margin optimisation, and overall category results
- Supervise, manage and train employees on the logistics team
- Inventory management ensuring accuracy of stock eg. Stocktake, negative stock, stock adjustments and allocations for stores
- Manage stock lists; including new products codes, categories, obsolete and run-out stock
- Drive sales identification and margin optimisation
- Developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful products
- Collaborating with product development and marketing to expand product categories
- Creating forecasts for product demand to ensure sustainability of inventory
Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a category manager or buyer role in retail/bathroom industry - minimum 3 years
- Experience with supply chain and logistics in the retail industry
- Understanding of data analysis & forecasting methods
- Analytical and commercial mindset
- An understanding of the market and consumer insights and trends
- Solution-focused
- Strong communication, collaboration, and computer literacy skills
- Ability to work well autonomously in a positive team environment
- Capability to work within a fast-paced environment
