About the role With a strong pipeline of forward work, Jacobs water business is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer, Waterways to work with our Waterways Team who have recently delivered the Award-Winning Koondrook and Pike Floodplain Projects. The responsibilities of the role include: · Lead civil design of natural and engineered waterways, in-stream structures such as weirs, fishways, regulators, and riffles, and other associated waterway management infrastructure. · Work collaboratively with other disciplines. · Manage packages of work and projects including delivery on cost, on time, to client satisfaction. · Communicate technical information to a range of audiences in a concise and professional manner. · Lead work-winning activities, including cost estimation and proposal writing. · Manage and expand your client relationships. · Technical leadership and mentoring of team members within project and discipline teams. · Support innovation opportunities within your technical field. About you 10 years' experience in the civil and waterway design Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in waterways and riverine infrastructure design and delivery. Relevant Engineering degree (or equivalent) and relevant industry Chartership/Accreditation, ideally RPEQ. Sound market knowledge, the ability to build strong client relationships, and the acumen to identify, bid, win, and deliver water sector projects. Ability and willingness to guide and mentor team members. Successful candidates will have an inclusive mindset and enjoy collaborating across geographies as part of diverse teams. Be open-minded and willing to adapt with change and transformation. Demonstrate a passion for waterways.
