In this role, you'll:
Be involved in partnering and engagement activities, including assessments, providing advice, and assisting in the development and delivery of relevant transport programs across the region, as well as acting as the TfNSW representative for regional communities in NSW.
Some key elements of the role include:
• Partnering and engagement activities, including road safety assessments, advice and assisting in the development and delivery of relevant transport programs
• Engage with NSW regional communities and stakeholders to champion their needs and achieve integrated community outcomes
• Manage relationships with councils, community groups, and other government partners to deliver safety and transport outcomes
• Provide timely and considered responses to customer and stakeholder issues
• Deliver a diverse range of TfNSW programs to community, partners and stakeholders, including planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting on those programs to provide strong safety and transport outcomes.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have transport-related tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience working in a similar position. You will display a passion for road and Safety and possess the technical experience to apply the Safe System approach in urban and rural settings. You will have a clear focus on striving for multi-modal improvements across our region.
You are a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with councils, regional communities and various others. Your experience engaging with the Community and a commitment to understanding our customers’ transport needs would be seen as an asset to our team.
You will have the ability to capture an audience by communicating technical information effectively in a way everyone can understand. You will have proven project management experience, flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, and great attention to detail. Experience operating in a State or local government environment would also be a bonus. Valid driver’s license and capacity to routinely travel within the region is also essential.
This position is based in Wagga Wagga and offers flexible, hybrid work arrangements. The salary for these positions Transport Grade 7 ($113,121- $126,695) per annum plus superannuation.
