Verse has partnered exclusively with Murdoch University to recruit an Associate Director, IT Planning & Governance. The role involves close collaboration with the Director of IT Services and senior leaders to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of major projects. You'll establish and improve new capabilities and oversee the delivery and governance of tech services to support Murdoch University's strategic goals.
The portfolio comprises the following functions: Enterprise Architecture, Project Management and Agile Delivery, Information Security and Risk Management, Business Change Management, Business Engagement and Vendor and Commercial Management.
The IT Services team at Murdoch is vital for driving innovative tech solutions and supporting the University’s vision. They focus on planning, IT solutions delivery, and operations, creating a dynamic digital environment for learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director in evolving and executing the digital strategy.
- Establish and improve new delivery capabilities.
- Lead major IT projects.
- Work with other IT teams to design and implement integrated solutions.
- Enhance governance across enterprise architecture, project management, security, and more.
- Build strong relationships with University leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification in IT or related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in strategic planning and project delivery.
- Background developing and implementing information and technology strategies, architecture and governance frameworks.
