Perth College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate and innovative educator who has the capacity to provide leadership in Years 3 to 6 in the Junior School.
As part of the Junior School Leadership team, you will work collaboratively with the Director of Junior School. You will be involved in advancing the strategic vision required to lead the implementation of innovative practices underpinned by positive psychology methodologies to promote deep student engagement in learning at all ability levels within a Year 3 to 6 environment. Key responsibility to pro-actively address pastoral and academic concerns in Years 3 to 6, working closely with the Years 3 to 6 Classroom teachers and a range of staff to ensure that student needs are met.
In particular, the Associate Director of Junior School (Years 3 to 6) is responsible for leading all matters relating to learning, teaching, and student wellbeing, including InsideOut and sparc. They will be responsible to pro-actively address pastoral and academic concerns in Years 3 to 6, working closely with the Year 3 to 6 Classroom teachers and a range of staff to ensure that student needs are met.
The role acts as a point of escalation for student concerns, and as a member of the Junior School leadership, is also responsible for a range of operational responsibilities to ensure the Junior School runs effectively.
As a key member of a dedicated and collaborative team who values student voice and partnerships with families, this position would suit candidates who are creative, energetic and adaptable.
