Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) focuses on understanding our clients and their industry to provide our customers with solutions that meet their business needs. The Product Management function supports CIB's activities and, as part of the Debt Products team, Product Management is responsible for the end-to-end value chain for the CIB-owned products we offer to our customers.
As a key member of the Product Management team, you will be responsible for Product Management of the CIB Lending Product Suite. This includes:
- Product design and approval.
- Product process design and approval.
- End to End mapping of the entire value chain of the product, with the support of the Value Chains team.
- Monitoring of key product metrics including revenue performance, risks, controls, exposures.
- Engagement with and providing Subject Matter Expertise to stakeholders across the value chain in all Westpac jurisdictions.
- Development of a strong risk culture that embodies Westpac ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have the following key skills or knowledge:
- Strong Product Management experience in the financial services industry (5+ years).
- Knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following products: Loans, Guarantees, Trade Finance, Asset Finance, Structured Finance or Syndications would be a key advantage.
- Analytical thinking skills with strong experience in tackling and simplifying complexity.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
- Strong understanding of business drivers (customer, cost, productivity, risk).
- Intermediate understanding of business architecture.
- Non-financial risk management experience in the financial services industry.
- Understanding of how technology applications support business processes.
- Demonstrable experience in driving value across the business, including improving efficiency through simplification opportunities.
- Demonstrable experience in influencing senior business leaders including strategic thinking and investment prioritisation.
- Knowledge of risk management and governance frameworks for the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry regulatory environment (APRA, ASIC, BEAR and BASEL).
