We are seeking a self-motivated Associate Lawyer with experience in Local Government and Planning Law who is looking to work in a supportive environment within an exceptional team.

The Role: This pivotal role offers direct client interaction, file management autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute strategically to our legal practice.
The position is permanent full-time (negotiable dependant on applicant). An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on the successful candidate’s experience. Flexible working conditions (including being able to work from the Hunter Valley or Sydney) and working from home arrangements can also be negotiated.
We require an agile team player who has an analytical mind with superior attention to detail and an evolving commercial and strategic mindset. You will be comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team. What sets you apart is your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills which allow you to build excellent working relationships and provide advice of the highest professional standard.
Requirements:
- Admission to the Supreme Court of NSW with a minimum of three years' post-admission experience.
- Current practising certificate issued by the Law Society of NSW.
- Expertise in Local Government and Planning law.
- Ability to provide authoritative legal advice in complex situations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and understanding of the political and social context of Local Government.
