About the position:

Our client is searching for motivated Commercial Lawyers ready to follow a structured career progression path. Tackle a variety of commercial law matters, including contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. You'll receive hands-on mentorship from senior partners and thrive in a collaborative and positive office environment located in the heart of Brisbane.

5-Year Progression Plan:

1. Year 1-2: Foundational Growth
   • Junior Lawyers: Develop a strong foundation in commercial law with diverse case exposure and mentorship.
   • Senior Lawyers: Lead complex cases, mentor junior staff, and refine leadership skills.
2. Year 3: Professional Development
   • Junior Lawyers: Increase responsibility, manage your own caseload, and mentor new hires.
   • Senior Lawyers: Specialize in complex areas, contribute to firm strategy, and attend advanced training.
3. Year 4: Leadership and Specialization
   • Junior Lawyers: Lead teams, specialize in preferred areas, and participate in firm projects.
   • Senior Lawyers: Assume leadership roles, shape firm policies, and manage high-profile cases.
4. Year 5: Partnership and Beyond
   • Junior Lawyers: Prepare for senior roles, lead significant cases, and contribute to firm management.
   • Senior Lawyers: Move towards partnership, influence firm direction, and mentor emerging talent.

Key Requirements:

• Junior position: Experience in commercial law or property law
• Senior position: Minimum of 5 years PAE in commercial law or property.
• Experience achieving billable targets and guiding Junior Lawyers and Paralegals.
