The Associate Lecturer in Medical Education (Professional Practice) contributes to the Professional Practice stream in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, focusing on teaching, assessment, and student support. Responsible for nurturing students' professional identity and well-being, this role collaborates within the MD teaching team, participating in curriculum review, assessment, and professional development activities under the guidance of designated staff members.Your responsibilities will include:
- Engage in teaching of curriculum content in PP
- Work with the MD team to ensure that allocated students are provided with the learning experiences to meet the requirements of the MD program
- Assist with updating facilitator notes based upon feedback and discussion with current PP tutors and the PP team
- Assist with the delivery of PP facilitator briefings for the MD1 program
You will excel in this role with your strong communication and presentation skills, coupled with problem-solving abilities and creative thinking. Your demonstrated organisational proficiency, time management, and problem-solving skills ensure effective handling of deadlines and tasks. Additionally, your excellence in verbal and written communication enhances your effectiveness in the role.You will also have:
- A medical degree registrable in Victoria
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching entry-to-practice medical or other health professional students
- Experience in teaching and/or facilitation in Medical Education and delivery
- Demonstrated strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
