Job Description
The Associate Midwife Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Midwifery/Nursing and Assistants in Nursing to deliver evidence based care to achieve optimal patient outcomes within allocated resources. The Associate Midwife Manager has direct responsibility for improving and maintaining standards, developing solutions, and delivering outcomes consistent with service and organisational imperatives and targets.
As a key leader in the interdisciplinary team, including FM staff, the Associate Midwife Manager will ensure that the Ambulatory service meets the requirement for delivery of a patient centred service against key performance indicators: quality, budget, and human resource.
The position provides a consultation and liaison service within their area of expertise to relevant internal and external customers. The ambulatory midwifery service at FSH is inclusive of the Antenatal Clinic, Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit, Lactation Services, and the Family Birthing Centre.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
