About us:
Institutional Banking and Markets (“IB&M”) is responsible for managing the Group's relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors and provides a full range of capital raising and risk management products and services. The division also performs an important internal role for the Group by providing FICC market, lending and capital markets execution capabilities to other CBA business units that allows them to capture opportunities with their customers.

Institutional Client Coverage (“ICC”) is an ecosystem within IB&M that supports Non-Bank Financial Institution (“NBFI”) relationships, including financial sponsors (with a focus on private equity, real estate, secondary and infrastructure funds), asset managers, pension funds, insurance and finance companies.
The core purpose of the team is to:
- Proactively develop client relationships and originate new business opportunities in the ICC ecosystem;
- Proactively advise, structure and execute product solutions tailored to the needs of clients in this ecosystem;
- Transactional work will focus on fund and corporate financing including: Subscription Credit Facilities, Corporate Revolving Facilities, Asset Based Facilities and other tailored solutions as well as the structuring of various global markets products;
- Develop deal flow from clients in this ecosystem for IB&M’s Originate Transform Distribute Model;
- Increase the penetration of transaction banking and working capital services in this ecosystem; and,
- Deliver solutions that meet the business objectives of our clients and the Bank.
About the role:
We are looking for a curious and proactive team player who can bring new ideas and their organisational skills to contribute to the team effectiveness. You will have a great exposure to our clients and internal senior stakeholders.
The role will have responsibility for providing support to Bankers within the ICC ecosystem. This support includes and is not limited to:
- financial modelling;
- account on-boarding;
- credit analysis;
- deal execution;
- monitoring the transaction performance and preparing of annual reviews,
- general maintenance of the NBFI portfolio;
- system enhancements; and,
- a key component to this role is the demonstrating appropriate and compliant behaviour.
We are interested in hearing from you if you have:
- At least 1 year experience (including internship) in corporate or investment banking; or experience in a graduate program at a major international bank;
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills and ability to build a strong rapport with clients and work colleagues;
- Ability to understand and implement the strategy of the business;
- Strong problem solving skills and experience in dealing with operational requirements of corporate clients;
- Strong oral and written communication skills combined with professional presentation; and,
- Ability to review and process complex legal documentation.
The salary range for this role is from $105,000 to $142,000. The salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
