Elevate your DevOps expertise and join us at Shine Solutions as an Associate Principal Engineer, where you will be taking ownership of complex streams of work as you shape technical solutions, you will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying and optimising cloud solutions tailored to our clients' unique requirements. In this role you will be recognised as a respected expert in cloud technologies and DevOps best practices.
You will bring skills and experience such as:
Deep understanding and senior level experience in DevOps roles with a focus on AWS environments
Strong background in Consulting or external stakeholder engagement
Proficiency in core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)
Solid Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo, or similar)
Understanding of AWS network configuration and security best practices (VPC, Security Groups, IAM roles/policies)
Prior knowledge of AWS Landing Zone
Experience with event-driven architectures on AWS
Good understanding of database infrastructure management (SQL/NoSQL)
Experience with serverless architectures on AWS (e.g.Lambda, API Gateway)
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Working knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies
Any experience with Containerization technologies is desirable
As an Associate Principal Engineer, you will drive the technical decisions, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and managing AWS Cloud Infrastructure, providing input into automated provisioning, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Development (CD) solutions. You'll develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment processes, and use tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and CDK for infrastructure orchestration. Additionally, you'll create and maintain detailed technical design documents, develop and execute test plans, create change management procedures, provide support during implementation phases, and work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
