WildBear is seeking an Associate Producer (AP) to work closely with one of our Executive Producers (EP) on an exciting portfolio of factual projects for the global market.
The AP will work through all stages from development to production supporting the EP across creative, business and administrative aspects of their portfolio. The AP will have industry experience, a can do attitude and be confident to collaborate equally with internal and external stakeholders.
The role is ideally Canberra based however there is an option to work at any of the Wildbear offices. Remote applicants are welcome to apply as long as they reside in Australia and are willing to commit to some limited travel to a WildBear office.
This opportunity is well suited to an individual looking to build their career by working across an exciting slate in a fast paced environment. The position is offered as an initial 12 month contract with a view to an ongoing position.
The role will include:
- Creating or overseeing the creation of development materials including research, writing, artwork, and sizzles
- Coordination of development shoots and management of development budgets
- Preparation and administration of funding submissions and financing documentation along with the WildBear Development team.
- Assisting in adherence to funding deadlines and deliverables
- Collaboration with the WildBear production, development, legal and corporate teams to ensure all activities are aligned with Company strategy and processes.
- Assisting in managing relationships with external and internal stakeholders including setting up meetings and supporting the EPs travel arrangements and stakeholder management
You will have:
- An understanding of the television production process
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High level organisational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise, time manage with an attention to detail.
- Broad demonstrated computer skills including experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- A background in natural history or science television will be an advantage but not essential
