The Role
This role will be reporting to the Director of Design and working closely with the Design team, Product Team and Dev teams.
As an Associate Product Designer, your role is to shape and execute the product vision through constant collaboration, using research and user-centric design processes to bring product experiments from ideation to development.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Product Designers in conducting quantitative and qualitative JobAdder user research to validate proposed product features with existing or potential users.
- Combine qualitative and quantitative information to develop hypotheses about customer motivations and use that to improve your designs
- Create user-flows and wireframes to map out and proposed product design features.
- Create user-interface designs of the proposed product features using Figma.
- Present your work to others by participating in design reviews and feedback sessions
- Collaborate with Senior Designers, Product Managers and Development team to gain and incorporate feedback.
- Collaborate on the maintenance of the Design Library and Design system.
- Support Senior Designers to elaborate and conduct user testing for product prototypes to validate the user experience of proposed new features with existing users.
- Write documentation and usage guidelines that teach designers and engineers how to use components and patterns across design and code.
Key Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Formal education in Design, Interaction/UX Design or HCI
- Confidence using Figma and knowledge of prototyping tools such as Protopie or Maze.
- Solid understanding of visual and interaction design foundations.
- An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a foundation in Research, Interaction and Visual Design, and prototyping.
- Understanding of how to create usable, accessible, and modular designs.
- Experience working on consumer software products.
- Experience in planning and executing user research studies, whether more traditional user testing or more experimental concept testing.
- Experience partnering with Product Managers to develop the strategy and rationale for features.
- Experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
- Possess a curiosity for expanding technical understanding and expertise.
