The UTS School of Biomedical Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering and IT (FEIT) is an Australian leader in practice-based learning, research and industry engagement.
The School strives to provide innovative and high-quality multidisciplinary research and teaching outcomes that address the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of patients with chronic diseases or diseases associated with ageing. In particular, we focus on cancer, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular diseases.

About the role
The School is looking to recruit an Associate Professor to join the team in both a teaching and research capacity.
As an Associate Professor, you will play a pivotal role in leading research and teaching endeavors that demand a high level of expertise in Biomedical Engineering and industry practices. You will be a seasoned academic who will be able to provide strong leadership to the School.
Other requirements will include:
• A PhD in Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience and track record in research in Biomedical Engineering with demonstrated outcomes that include high-quality research publications, the successful attraction of funds (grants, Fellowships, industry) and research supervision including HDRs.
• Successful teaching and course development experience in one or more of the School disciplines.
• Experience in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate project students especially PhD students.
• Strong collaboration/partnerships with industry and other academic institutions

Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $175,059 to $191,905 pa (Level D)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
