Your Impact
We are looking for a talented and driven Project Managers to join our Water Infrastructure section in Brisbane. This is a key role in our group to actively deliver successful outcomes for our clients and to successfully deliver our projects.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-leading global business with a strong local pipeline of programs and projects. The current opportunities are based in Brisbane however, you will be joining a truly connected ANZ Water Solutions business who provide the full suite of consulting services from advisory and engineering through to operations and asset management.
Our water infrastructure team in Brisbane includes program managers, Project Managers as well as civil, electrical, instrumentation and control, mechanical, process, and structural engineers which allows us to deliver entire projects within our water group. We also work across the project cycle from strategic consulting, master planning, concept design and optioneering, through to detailed design, commissioning, and operational support.
The Jacobs water business has water infrastructure and water resources capability in every major city around Australia working across a multitude of markets such as Utilities, Government, Transport, Resources, and Energy Transitioning to name a few.
You will be responsible for:
· Providing leadership of project teams to deliver excellent projects that meet our clients' expectations, by coordination of our professionals, engineers, subconsultants and subcontractors.
· Supporting business development, winning work, identifying the next opportunities and successful closure of opportunities. You will assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, as well as leading bids within your capabilities and expertise.
· Developing and maintaining strong key client relationships - acting as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients across the public and private sector.
· Delivery of technically excellent projects that meet our clients' expectations, project financial, scope, project risk and schedule outcomes. You will support the section leadership and technical leaders in delivery of technically excellent outcomes that benefit our client's business objectives.
· Delivering commercially successful projects that achieve Jacobs financial objectives, and our contract obligations, including effective change and risk management.
· Promoting a safety culture within the organisation, and with our clients.
Here's What You'll Need:
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or project management. Maintains professional body accreditation.
· Significant project management or design management experience with water infrastructure projects including water treatment, wastewater treatment, networks (water & sewer) and/or bulk water systems.
· Experience and capability in project management across the following project types:
o General water consulting
o Strategic infrastructure planning, needs analysis and problem/benefit definition
o Business case development
o Master planning
o Feasibility studies and options analysis
o Market Ready Designs to inform D&C contractors
o Detail design projects
· People management skills including effective communication; authentic and empathetic leadership.
· Proven ability to determine and address underlying client needs, set up client feedback systems and confirm satisfaction.
· A collaborative mindset that values and acts on the input of a wide range of stakeholders to deliver the best project outcomes (e.g. other engineering disciplines, environmental scientists, client managers and operators, customer liaisons)
· Strong communicator with proven ability to forge strong relationships with clients and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
