About the role
Deloitte Digital's Delivery Optimisation team is responsible for enabling our delivery teams to do their job through providing tooling, infrastructure, and DevOps services. Our business is growing, and we are after an experienced Atlassian Specialist to join the team.
This role is primarily technical in nature but with a consulting element. You are experienced in hosting and administration of Server or Data Centre Atlassian products, administration of Cloud Atlassian products, AWS/Azure hosting, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform), Additionally, you enjoy working with a team of DevOps engineers who work with a wide variety of systems.
Activities the team work on include:
- Infrastructure automation
- Cloud platforms
- DevOps pipelines
- Security and compliance
- Provision of internal tools used by Deloitte Digital
- Monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Automation of anything and everything.
- Being an Atlassian products expert
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Atlassian solutions for internal use and for clients
- Planning and managing Atlassian migrations
- Managing a team of Atlassian admins
- Ensuring security is built into everything we do
- Working with bid teams to estimate and cost solutions for client proposals
- Working directly with internal teams and clients to discuss requirements, taking ownership of medium to high complexity technical tasks and providing status updates
- Identifying technical improvements and upgrades
- Proactively identifying better ways of delivering our services
- Staying current with best practice and identifying ways we can enhance our approach
- Recommending and executing process improvements
- Providing subject matter experience to teams, helping troubleshoot particularly complex or interesting issues
You have proven technical experience delivering solutions based on Atlassian products, both on-prem and cloud, and will also have DevOps expertise. To be awesome in this role you must have (mandatory experience):
- On-prem (e.g. Server, Data Centre), and Cloud (e.g. Standard, Premium, Enterprise)
- Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence
- Cloud migrations from Server or Data Centre
- DevOps expertise (e.g. with Azure DevOps pipelines)
- Self-motivated, problem-crushing attitude
- Awesome war stories of all the technical problems you solved to get to this point
- Being a team player who just wants things to work reliably and consistently
- An opinion on the best way to do things, while remaining open minded to new ideas
- Atlassian certifications and accreditations relevant to the role (e.g. ACP-100, ACP-120)
- Atlassian administration in Access, OpsGenie, StatusPage
- Software Engineering or Computer Science tertiary qualifications
- SQL database management or administration
- Understanding of ITIL service delivery lifecycle
- System engineering or system administration
- Continuous Integration and Delivery
- Automation tools - scripting, Ansible, Packer, etc.
- Enterprise, web or mobile application development
- Proven application or systems solution architecture experience
