This will include configuration and maintenance of various Jira projects within an established Jira instance, customisation of workflows and working with various business areas to support the uplift of Atlassian for reporting and project management purposes.
The Atlassian Specialist will play a key role in directly supporting client project and portfolio of major programs by reporting progress using Jira & Confluence, including supporting the development of PowerBI dashboards based upon underlying Jira data.
Main Responsibilities:
- Utilise the Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence, Crowd) to manage and administer P3M (portfolio, program and project level) reporting.
- Support the ongoing uplift of the clients consolidated approach to P3M reporting, including reporting to senior executives through the use of the Atlassian software suite & Power BI. Coordinate and review portfolio Atlassian reporting activities (including providing an independent contesting function).
- Provide input to other portfolio maturity activities including schedule, risk, dependencies, benefits management, performance tracking and prioritisation.
- Engage SMEs across major projects to elicit requirements and manage Atlassian configuration changes.
- Design and conduct training for existing staff and new starters on the use and operation of Atlassian functions.
- Essential: Experience in the use of Atlassian products, in particular Jira, Confluence and Crowd.
- Desirable: Experience in supporting the management and administration of P3M (portfolio, program, project) reporting, through the Atlassian tool suite.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the client operating environment.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the One Defence Capability Life Cycle.
- Desirable: knowledge and basic level user utilisation of PowerBI tools and techniques
Contract Terms: Contract term of 12 months, not exceeding 30 June 2025
SFIA Level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5
Security Requirements: Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12 month period (which has since been downgraded).
