ELB is looking to expand our team with a Audio Visual Design Engineer based out of Sydney, New South Wales.

Job Responsibilities:

● Work closely with the pre-sales team to prepare BOMs and SOWs as part of tender responses, project opportunities, and POCs
● Create AV system designs that comply with project briefs, concept designs, tender docs including schematics, layouts, elevations, AV rack layouts, and BOMs
● Present proposed solutions via online or face-to-face meetings as part of design review meetings to respond to RFQs, tender docs, or project opportunities
● Prepare AV system cost estimates that fit within bundles or separate entities as part of product selections and as per functionality requirements
● Verify functional requirements with clients and finalize SOWs that can aid sales representatives to close sales deals successfully with ease
● Communicate effectively with the entire ELB team, covering all the deliverables starting from the project initiation phase up to the project completion phase
● Follow company policies and procedures

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

● Experience in the Audio Visual Industry designing professional AV & VC systems, audio DSP based systems, control systems, sound reinforcement systems, projection technologies, and broadcast/media control systems
● Experience in producing AV design documentation via AutoCAD or Visio
● Have good Microsoft Office Skills
● A Bachelor of Engineering and/or industry certifications (i.e. AVIXA CTS-D) is preferred but not mandatory
● Have a wide knowledge of current technology trends including but not limited to Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, Logitech, Poly, and Biamp
● Ability to select products with respect to the functionality required
● Have strong attention to details and act proactively as a new norm
● Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
● Exceptional problem-solving skills & the ability to see the big picture
● Time-efficient and has the capability to prioritise tasks seamlessly
● Proven ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with teams.
● Ability to guide or mentor design graduates throughout a specific project
● Construction Industry White Card is preferred
● Willing to be enrolled in an ongoing learning and development training courses that varies throughout personal development, wellbeing, and AV industry technical knowledge
