Reporting to the Divisional Manager Governance and as part of a highly professional, caring and well-respected team, this important role is primarily responsible for:
- delivering a risk based internal audit plan including preparing audit scopes, audit reports and reporting regularly on progress;
- liaising with external resources to facilitate the delivery of internal audits;
- managing the risk management framework including policies and procedures;
- promoting and influencing an effective risk management culture within the organisation;
- in consultation with the Presiding Member and CEO, supporting and presenting reports to the Audit and Risk Committee of Council.
Applications are welcome from appropriately qualified and experienced audit professionals with demonstrated project management skills, good attention to detail, excellent stakeholder relationship building skills, well developed verbal and written communication abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Risk management certification, internal audit qualifications or relevant experience in coordinating the internal audit process will be considered favourably. The role may suit a recent graduate currently working in a first or second tier auditing firm or a professional with relevant experience.
