This is a day work position working weekdays 73.50 hours per fortnight.

Tasmania Prison Service (TPS) has prison facilities located at Risdon Vale, Hobart and Launceston in Tasmania. This position is based at Risdon Vale in the Administration Building. The Risdon Vale site offers a corporate working environment without the hustle and bustle of city centre offices, free on-site parking and access to the on-site staff gym (or head across the road to Risdon Brook Dam for a walk at lunch time).
Duties
- Coordinate and supervise members of the Performance and Compliance Unit in the delivery and co-ordination of reporting, auditing, performance and compliance needs of the TPS.
- Undertake and coordinate TPS investigations, audits and compliance checks.
- Manage and administer the risk, audit, performance and incident systems including assisting in the development and improvement of these critical business systems.
- Coordinate compliance meetings, undertake and manage actions that arise in relation to identified areas of non-compliance with TPS policies and practices.
Desirable Requirements
A strong employment background in business performance and compliance ideally from a correctional perspective.
