About the Role
As an Audit Manager in our Internal Audit (IA) Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to form the independent third line function of ANZ Group’s three lines of defence (3LOD) governance operating model. IA comprises multiple teams that collectively support ANZ Group to move at pace safely through our enterprise-wide lens and independence. The use of technology, data and automation are critical in driving innovation and supporting the functions of ANZ Group. IA’s Technology and Data & Automation (TDA) team is responsible for assessing how risks in relation to these key areas are managed.
This role may also support the Suncorp Bank which will join the ANZ Group on completion. Completion of ANZ’s acquisition of Suncorp Bank remains subject to legislative amendments by the Queensland Parliament and approval by the Federal Treasurer. Assuming these conditions are satisfied, completion of the acquisition is expected to occur in or around mid-calendar year 2024.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
Executing audit engagements in line with the annual Audit Plan;
Reviewing specific business areas with a focus on technology, data and automation related processes;
Assessing the adequacy and appropriateness of controls in place to manage and mitigate risk; and
Working with ANZ Group’s management to develop sustainable solutions that enhance the control environment, better manage risk exposures, support ANZ Group’s strategic objectives and ensure customer and stakeholder interests are being safeguarded.
You will be required to work closely with colleagues across ANZ Group’s global team, drawing on your excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. You will also have an important role in building capability across the Internal Audit function.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Demonstratable experience in auditing IT controls with strong knowledge across some technology areas such as technology risk governance and management, application controls, IT service management, data and infrastructure security, cyber security operations, cryptography, identity and access management, software solution delivery and IT resilience.
Strong track record of delivering high quality assurance work in technical areas. This includes working with multiple stakeholders, across geographies and with complex, sometimes ambiguous subject matter;
Awareness of approaches and techniques for analysing and interpreting data, with a focus on driving efficiency in audit execution;
Track record in building, developing, and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders;
Internal / external audit or Digital/Transformation risk
Experience in auditing cloud-based environments and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable
