The Team
The Legal, International, Regulatory Affairs (LIRA) Division reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer/Director of Aviation Safety. Under the leadership of the Executive Manager, LIRA has oversight of CASA’s legal affairs, and, in cooperation and coordination with other Groups and branches, International relations and the development of CASA’s international strategy and overarching regulatory policy.
The Opportunity
The Branch Manager, Internal Audit & International Affairs (BM/IAIA), involves being both CASA’s Chief Audit Executive (CAE) as well as overseeing key aspects of CASA’s international engagement programs.
As CASA’s CAE, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the Board Audit and Risk Committee (BARC). The functions of the branch also involve oversight of the administration of key aspects of CASA’s International Affairs and the coordination of CASA’s strategic international engagement policy, programs and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) tripartite matters.
As a member of CASA’s Senior Leadership Team, the role contributes to the strategic direction of the organisation and acts in accordance with CASA’s values and behaviours and consistent with the Regulatory Philosophy.
This position is based in Canberra, will require interstate travel and may require some overseas travel.
