AddressMARS Recruitment is teaming up with a respected mid-tier Public Practice firm dedicated to providing exceptional audit and advisory services to a diverse range of clients. As an Audit Manager, you will play a key leadership role within our firm, overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to finalisation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing exceptional service
- Oversee and coach audit team members, guiding their growth and fostering their professional advancement.
- Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay abreast of industry developments and changes in regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients accordingly
- Delivering Audit Reports and Audit Management Letters to executive-level stakeholders and during Annual General Meetings (AGMs).
- Work collaboratively with partners and senior management to propel firm-wide initiatives and contribute to strategic planning endeavours.
Criteria:
- 8+ years of experience in external auditing, preferably within a Public Practice firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA/CPA/ACCA qualification
- Strong knowledge of the application of Australian Accounting Standards (AASBs) and Australian Standards of Auditing (ASAs)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft product suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a requirement.
- Familiarity with CaseWare or similar audit file technology is preferred.
- Experience working with not-for-profit clients is highly valued
- Exceptional communication both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
