Authorised Officer - Roads & Traffic

Things We’ll Trust You With:

• Be a customer service specialist and a positive brand ambassador for the Sutherland Shire Council.
• Encourage, educate and regulate the sharing of parking space.
• Carry-out foot patrols for parking compliance and regulation on public streets and designated car parks in the local government area.
• Investigate illegal activities i.e. abandoned vehicles, motor vehicle littering, boat trailer complaints, motor vehicles ‘for sale’ and other related offences as authorised under the delegations provided for the position.
• Assist Council in the effective provision of regulation and enforcement through appropriate application of legislation, Council objectives, policies, adopted standards and work practices.

The Fine Print:

• Package: $65,460 - $69,281 gross p.a. plus superannuation. (Plus weekend penalty rates as worked)
• Hours of work: Permanent Full Time and Temporary Full Time (6 month contract) opportunities available working 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight.
