We are currently seeking experienced Auto Electrician to join our Workshop and field service Teams in Port Hedland and Pilbara Projects Western Australia. The successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in service and repairs of civil and marine plant and equipment and on heavy machinery.
To be considered for the role, applicants must provide:
- Australian Recognised Auto Electrician Trade Qualification,
- Hold a Refrigerant Handling License and Automotive Air Conditioning experience is highly desirable,
- Excellent fault finding, diagnostics skills as well as planning and maintenance experience,
- At least 5 years' experience working on Heavy Machinery and Plant Equipment,
- A Driver’s License and a construction industry Blue/White card,
- Rigging, Dogging, Working at Heights, Crane License and Forklift License are desirable, but not essential,
- Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
Your main duties will include (but not limited to):
- Provide preventative and emergency repair maintenance to plant and equipment,
- Report to both the Port Headland Workshop Supervisor when working in Austral Workshop Facility and Plant Superintendents when on site,
- Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies,
- Physically inspect and sign for delivered goods and materials,
- Request orders through Port Headland Workshop Supervisor when working in Austral Workshop Facility and Plant Superintendents when on site,
- Ensure materials are ordered and sequenced with short lead times,
- Efficiently and securely store materials to minimize double handling and theft,
- Adhere to Austral Construction’s HSE standards and procedures.
