The Role:
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Port Hedland team.
The position will be full time, based out of our Port Hedland branch.
The successful candidate will be residential to the Port Hedland area and be responsible for carrying out Automotive Electrical and Air Conditioning maintenance and repairs on an ever-growing fleet of KEE Hire earthmoving assets across the Port Hedland and Pilbara region.
The successful candidate will be trade certified and hold a current ARC Air Conditioning Refrigerant Handling License.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical & Air Conditioning repairs and maintenance on KEE Hire fleet.
- Repair Electrical related machine breakdowns on site.
- Diagnose faults and issues on machine electrical systems.
- Machine option installations (eg. Tracking GPS, Beacons, UHF etc)
- Assist workshop mechanics with inspections & repairs depending on workload.
- Promoting and enforcing a culture of safety, excellence, and continual improvement within the workshop team.
Required experience and skills
- Extensive Auto Electrical knowledge and experience on Earthmoving/ Mining equipment
- Experience with fault finding & system diagnostics
- Experience reading machine wiring schematics
- Relevant Trade Auto Electrical qualification
- Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Manual C Class Drivers License minimum, HR preferred
- Strong focus on customer service
- Demonstrate Team Work and Leadership
- Ability to work autonomously
- Good time management
- Ability to pass a drug & alcohol screening
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance if required
- Australian working rights
