We are seeking an Automotive Mechanic or Automotive Electrician with fabrication skills (not Essential) to join our small team. In this position, you’ll be using your mechanical and auto electrical skill, along with fabrication and welding to meet our company’s vision of supporting people to overcome barriers to independence by delivering high quality, comfortable, innovative, customised vehicle modifications to help them gain or maintain access to the community in their vehicle.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of wheelchair accessible vehicles
- Install assistive technology
- Hand Controls for accelerator and brake
- Electronic aids for the operation of indicators, lights, wipers and horn
- Vehicle access aids eg: Turney seats, 6 way seats, transfer platforms, wheelchair lifts ect.
- Wheelchair storage devices
- Fully custom solutions
- Production of wheelchair accessible Vans
- Wiring accessories and new electrical systems
- Utilise critical thinking/problem solving skills, within a group and individually, to arrive at a solution that meets the vehicle modification needs of the client
- Use a range of power tools and fabrication equipment
- Review work instructions, drawings and other specification papers before starting work on a project and throughout the job
Qualifications
- Motor mechanic trade certificate or Auto Electrical
- Trade experience will be considered for right candidate
