Automotive Technicians with Used Car reconditioning experience.
Our client is recognized as a leader in the automotive retail and after sales service space in Cairns. With a large Used Car retail operation, we now require additional Automotive Technicians to service and repair incoming Used Car stock and have them ready for sale.

Servicing all types of vehicles and light commercials, we require automotive technicians who have experience in the repair of used cars and understand the need to control costs while providing a high degree repair work to adhere to the warranty requirements of providing top quality Used Cars for sale.
We are looking for Mechanics who want to work in a fast-paced workshop environment, provide outstanding reconditioning work and enjoy a great work/life balance.

Essential Skills
Cert III or higher qualification and as a Light Vehicle Mechanic
Developed mechanical knowledge of Automotive Industry
Ability to work productively & efficiently in an autonomous environment.
Knowledge and operation of all relevant Health & Safety regulations.
Are reliable & punctual.
Be highly motivated & a self-starter.
Have a high attention to detail with ability to produce high quality workmanship.
Used vehicle reconditioning experience highly regarded.
RWC Licence Highly regarded.
Position Description
Providing accurate advice in relation to mechanical condition of trade in vehicles
Diagnose and repair vehicle issues and defects.
Reporting all necessary work, service or repairs to the Manager and recording information using service reporting system.
Always Maintaining a safe working environment
Other general workshop duties where required.
Periodic engine and vehicle maintenance
Mechanical repairs and regular preventative maintenance routines
Maintaining paperwork with thorough and excellent communication skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold a Certificate III in Light Mechanical or higher.
Have a strong work ethic with a high attention to detail.
Have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Can prioritize and adapt to changes in daily schedules.
Have strong communication skills.
Demonstrate safe working practices.
Clean driving record with a manual licence
RWC Licence highly regarded.
BENEFITS:
Generous SIGN ON BONUS $2500.00 Plus pay structure with above award hourly rate at $38.00 per hour + minimum monthly bonus of $500.00 + overtime + non-contributory superannuation.
38-hour 5 day working week. 8.00am to 4.06pm standard hours.
