Form of workOur client, a family owned and well - established mechanical work shop handling both mechanical and Tyre repair / fitting services located in the Blacktown area.
Due to internal growth a newly appointed position has been created for a enthusiastic , hard working & Experienced Motor Mechanic to Join their team.
Position brief details below:
- Monday - Friday with half day Saturday ( 5 1/2 days per week)
- Shift time will be 8am - 5pm Mon - Fri & Saturday 8am - 12pm
- Salary Range between $85,0000 - $90,000 + Super Pending experience
- Full time Permanent position

You will be required, but no limited to the following duties:
- evaluate customer needs and implement action required to ensure jobs have been completed in a timely fashion.
- serving customers at counter & taking telephone calls ensuring their needs are understood.
- Ensure supply of parts needed to carry out repairs.
- Purchasing of parts and invoicing to customers when necessary.
- When possible road test vehicles to ensure correct mechanical functions when work is completed.
- When required, carry out repair, and fitting / balancing of tyres and wheels
- Identifying and repair of Mechanical and Technical issues
- carrying out maintenance and repair work
- Maintain clean and tidy appearance of mechanical workshop, wheel alignment area and other areas of workshop
- On arrival and departure workshop roller doors are to be opened/closed daily.
- Ensure that customer contact is conducted in a courteous and helpful manner.
- Any other ad hoc tasks requested by management
To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:
- Previous experience within
- have own tools
- Has ability to work efficiently with great attention to detail
- Customer service experience
- high Attention to detail
- Experience with tyre fitting and aligning
- Must be a trade qualified Motor Mechanic
- Hold Current Pink Slip Licence
- Hardworking, disciplined, confident, reliable, honest and flexible
- Required to hold a current drivers licence (Manual)
- Must have Australian recognised trade qualifications
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kgs if needed
- Reliable transportation
