Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will review current security controls, implement remedial actions, and develop systems for security automation. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity and security of our client's IT systems.This role is based on-site in Adelaide and can be taken as a Contract or Permanent opportunity.About youResponsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Provide and support proposal creation, contribute to cost estimates and business case generation as well as drive architectures that are resilient and robust.
- Develop and operate IT security systems, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection, web application firewalls, and DDoS protection.
- Review current system security controls and implement remedial actions to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Develop and operate systems to monitor and analyze security logs and event information.
- Develop and operate systems for security automation to streamline security processes.
- Guide technical staff on the implementation of security controls and best practices.
- Support, plan, and conduct test and evaluation activities for deliverable systems and products.
- Minimum NV1 clearance, ideally NV2 or PV
- A background in Defence or Federal Government is highly desirable
- Proficiency in IT security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and DDoS protection.
- Experience with security log analysis and event monitoring.
- Knowledge of security automation tools and techniques.
- Strong understanding of security controls and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
