Automotive Technician Opportunities

ABOUT US:

Pickering's Auto Group is a family owned and operated multi-franchise dealership based in the vibrant city of Townsville. Representing 14 new vehicle franchises including Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW, MOTORRAD, Mini, Hyundai, Kia, MG, Mitsubishi, LDV and RAM. 

Only five minutes from the Townsville city, Pickering's Auto Group is located in the heart of Townsville City with only a very short commute from most suburbs. 

An exciting career opportunity exists for experienced Automotive Technicians to join our award-winning team. Working with the most innovative products available on the market and using the latest technology.

• Reporting to the Service Manager 
• Monday - Friday 
• Daily work hours are 8.00am - 4.06pm

THE POSITIONS:

The positions would be suited to highly motivated and experienced team players who have previous experience working within a busy workshop. With strong interpersonal skills, you will each be proactive in your daily responsibilities and have the ability to work unsupervised. With leading edge technology, sophisticated equipment and highly trained technicians, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills in a professional working environment.

To be successful within these roles you will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Relevant Trade qualifications; Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Equivalent
• Experience in one of the 14 brands is desirable however, not essential
• Excellent time management/organisational skills and attention to detail
• A willingness to learn and an appetite for challenge;
• Demonstrated workshop experience in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and electrics. (preferred, but not essential);
• C Class Manual Drivers Licence
