JOB DESCRIPTION
- Unpack, document, and rack equipment
- Learn and follow wiring diagrams exactly as shown
- Learn and terminate all cables in the rack following standards and best practices
- Learn and cable manage all wires following standards and best practices
- Perform onsite rack fabrication whenever required
- Learn and prepare systems for in house job staging by making all the necessary connections, loading the configuration files, etc.
- Assist with various aspects of in house job staging
- Prepare rack and accessories for shipping
- Clean the shop and all its work areas
- Maintain and ensure the proper tools are available at all times to perform all job duties
- Learn and rough in an AV system including cable pulls and hardware mounting
- Learn and install AV equipment in finished spaces
- Learn basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills for issues that may arise during an installation
- Daily field reporting to lead technician or project manager
- Travel to client sites as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Direct hands on AV installation rack fabrication experience required
- Must be knowledgeable of industry standards
- OSHA training is required to be completed within the first 3 months
- Must be a self-motivator with strong attention to details
- Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic metal cutting / bending / fabrication skills
