Role: Azure, Red Hat OpenShift Engineer
Location: Canberra/Melbourne
Clearance: NV1/NV2 (preferred)
Start: Immediate to September 30th – Extension potentially available as project goes into next phase
Responsibilities:
- OpenShift Environment Support:
- Provide support for OpenShift environments, both in the cloud (Azure) and on-premises hosted.
- Manage OpenShift clusters, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement best practices for OpenShift configuration, security, and monitoring.
- Collaboration:
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps leads, product owners, project managers, and senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective OpenShift solutions.
- Automation and Efficiency:
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline deployment, scaling, and management of OpenShift clusters.
- Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization:
- Troubleshoot issues related to OpenShift deployments, networking, and container orchestration.
- Evaluate and optimize OpenShift performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in OpenShift or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Azure services, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with Openshift Data Foundation storage on ARO.
- Familiarity with vault solutions like HashiCorp Vault.
- Certifications such as RHCE or CKA are a plus.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
