SalaryWe are currently seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to join our team based in Jandakot. Reporting to the Head of Engineer with a dotted line to the Rotary Manager, this full-time role works Monday to Friday and will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on our two EC145s and equipment in accordance with RFDS manuals and procedures.

Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA. A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care. The RFDS in WA operates five bases in Perth, Broome, Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Meekatharra. Our 24/7 operations centre at Jandakot Airport coordinates complex logistics for patient retrievals and clinics across the State. We work in partnership with government, business and the community, and are proud to work on Country with Aboriginal medical services and many local service providers.
About you
You will be technically-minded and creative in your approach to work and finding solutions to issues. While working in a small team, you will be able to interpret and analyse complicated information and put your findings into practice.
About the role
- Responsible for conducting both scheduled and unscheduled Aircraft Maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues and be able to suggest and undertake solutions
- Inform Head of Engineering on progress of the tasks as well as any problems which may impact the completion
- Inform Head of Engineering of defects, deficiencies in spares, tooling, ground support and test equipment
- Ensure all applicable maintenance documentation is completed to a high standard
- Permanent, full-time role
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum for everyday expenses and up to $2,650 per annum on meals and entertainment expenses
