Backend Software Engineer

Black6 is Seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer. The role focuses on the technical and development aspects of innovative software projects. The ideal candidate should thrive in a start-up environment and possess the skills for efficient and creative problem-solving. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in advancing the company's mission to deliver advanced simulation technology, impacting a diverse and international clientele in the defence and training sectors. Office Locations: Gold Coast (Coomera), Australia 

Skills And Experience: 

• Proficiency in C++, C#, .NET 
• Understanding of JavaScript 
• Experience with version control tools (e.g. Git, Perforce Helix Core). 
• 2+ years backend development experience  
• Exceptional and proactive communication skills enabling clear and concise communication with team members. 
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in teams of mixed disciplines.  

Desired but not Required: 

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Python 
• Experience working within a start-up environment. 
• Experience working with Game/Simulation Development engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, Prepar3D) 
• Familiar with ISO9001 Quality Management System 

Requirements: 

• Must have, or be capable of attaining, at least a Baseline security clearance (or equivalent clearance, recognised by the Australian Government, for non-Australian citizens). Note: Higher security clearance may be required for specific work duties.
