Earlyrise Baking Co is looking for a full-time permanent Qualified or Experienced Baker to assist in baking the products that make up the Earlyrise family of products from Bloom, Boundary Road, Today’s and Brioche Boundary Road.
Reporting to the Department Supervisor, you will use your extensive experience to weigh, manufacture and bake our delicious and freshly baked loaves from fresh soft white, multigrain, wholemeal and fruit loaf to brioche, sourdough, cobs and baguettes.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In your role as a Baker, your key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Weigh, prepare and bake the Earlyrise family of products.
- Through use of manual and/or automatic machines shape and mould rolls, sourdough loaves, cobs, baguettes etc.
- Read and interpret recipes, measure ingredients and record information.
- Ensuring ingredients are tagged, date-labelled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively as per food safety standards.
- Perform general cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety procedures are followed.
ABOUT YOU
The perfect Baker will have previous bakery experience (preferably within the food and beverage manufacturing industry) with a genuine passion for food and hold a special combo of the right skills, experience and attitude:
- You hold a Certificate III in Baking or a related food or have at least one (1) years’ experience.
- Your previous experience will give you the confidence to step into the role and make an immediate impact.
- Your prioritisation and coordination abilities ensure that when things are busy it doesn’t get you down because you can easily prioritise to make sure everything gets done.
- It may get hot working in and around ovens, but you remain cool, calm and collected – when things are busy it doesn’t get you down because you can easily prioritise to make sure everything gets done.
- You are flexible with your availability. To ensure communities receive the freshest products daily we operate across a seven (7) day rotating roster.

Qualified and/or Experienced salary starting from $63,000 to $70,000 as per award rates and shift allowances and commiserate with experience.
