Band 2 Clerical Support OfficerSalary: $35-$39 per hour + super
Location: Ulverstone, TAS
Contract length: 6 months
M-F 0.9 FTEWe are seeking an experienced Clerical Support Officer to join a reputable State Government Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to enhance the operational efficiency of the department by executing clerical, administrative, keyboard, and data entry tasks accurately and promptly.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide precise and timely administrative, clerical, and keyboard support.
• Input, retrieve, and generate reports on data as required.
• Address inquiries from the public either in person or via telephone.
• Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to identifying opportunities to enhance work systems.
• Assist in gathering and organising statistical data.
• Manage receipt, recording, and distribution of correspondence.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and Clerical Support.
• Proficiency in keyboard operations and data entry.
• Strong communication skills to effectively handle inquiries from the public.
• Ability to actively contribute to quality improvement processes.
• Capacity to handle statistical data accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Prior experience working in a Government department.
