Banquets & Beverage Manager

Aquis Park Home of the Gold Coast Turf Club hosts some of Queensland's pinnacle racing events, such as Jewel Raceday, Hollindale Stakes, and The Summer Magic Millions Carnival (a raceday with over 11 million in prize money and over 20,000 attendees annually), approximately 50 race meetings a year and planning to hold night race meetings mid 2024. The venue also curates and facilitates many Business Events such as multi day conferences, gala dinners and tradeshows.  

We provide an impressive event venue, with over 20 different event spaces and an abundance of outdoor areas and lawns. Situated on a luscious and green 34-hectare site in the heart of Surfers Paradise, we are a mere stone’s throw away from the Gold Coast's most iconic beaches. 

The Role

As Banquets & Beverage Manager, you will oversee:

• day-to-day operations of the beverage and event logistics team
• maintenance and stocking for all bar service, cellars, stores areas and reticulation systems
• ensuring all event logistics are well planned out, set up and executed according to run sheets for smooth running of each individualised event booked and across all event spaces
• ensuring all bar, front and back of house areas are packed down, cleaned, well maintained and compliant with SOPs and Health & Safety standards
• as well as attend planning meetings, prepare planning schedules and closely work with the events team

About You

• Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) in banquets and beverage management within the hospitality industry and/or in similar banquets focused role 
• Excellent project management skills with ability to multitask
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team that work to deadlines
• Ability to thrive in a team environment with a willingness to lead and inspire cross functional teams 
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills with ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• RMVL and Forklift licence essential
