We're launching a new cafe in Port Melbourne and we're looking for a driven person who is eager for responsibility, autonomy and the financial rewards that come with it!
- You will be involved from the ground up during our launch.
- Your previous experience will help guide the launch and how the cafe's operations are run.
- You will be the lead at the cafe and have the opportunity to build your own small team.
- With plans to open multiple cafes, you will then have further career opportunities in leadership as we grow.

What are the essentials?
- Who? You’re a passionate barista and cafe all-rounder!
- How? Full time role. Mon-Fri 7am-4pm
- Where? In our new cafe in Port Melbourne, VIC.
- When? In 4-8 weeks.
What are your key responsibilities?
- Crafting a variety of high-quality coffee beverages with precision and consistency.
- Providing friendly and attentive customer service, ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued.
- Operating various café equipment including espresso machines, grinders, and POS systems.
- Simple food preparation such as assembling sandwiches.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the café, including the service area and seating areas.
- Hiring, managing and collaborating with team members to uphold café standards and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Taking ownership of the running of the cafe and using your experience to implement ideas to aid in its success.
What do you need for this role?
- Have proven experience in the cafe industry
- Have barista experience
- Someone with a love for specialty coffee and hospitality
- Experience with cash handling and POS operations
- Experience in opening and closing
- Be able to follow food safety policies and procedures
- Ensure food preparation and presentation including quality control
- Able to work autonomy without supervision
- Be in the habit of using your initiative
- Display confidence with a fun and friendly personality
- Demonstrate that the customer is your number one priority
- An ability to talk with customers about our coffee, coffee equipment and menus
