Barista/Cafe Manager

Urban Foodies, Melbourne's leading boutique caterer, is looking for a full-time Cafe Manager/Barista to oversee our grab and go cafe in South Yarra

• Great hours - Mon - Fri - days only
• Innovative, healthy & delicious menu
• La Marzocca machine + Code Black coffee
• 12 weeks of holidays (4 paid, 8 unpaid) - school holidays
• Cafe located in a private girls school
• Small team - 2-3 onsite

Our grab and go cafe is located in a prestigious private girls school in South Yarra - part of the Wellness Centre.  This high end cafe is only open to the staff and senior school students.  All food is prepared in our North Melbourne kitchen and delivered daily.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Supervising cafe & customer service
• Barista - Hot and Cold drink preparation
• Some food preparation and merchandising
• Staff Management including developing rosters and entering timesheets
• Taking orders and cash handling
• Order management & suppliers
• Menu development and creation (with offsite - chefs)
• Opening & Closing
• Liaising with school on social media, events and catering

Your experience would include:-

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as Barista/Cafe Supervisor
• Opening & Closing procedures
• Leadership and staff management

You must possess the following skills:-

• Fabulous customer service - can-do attitude
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Self-motivation and proactive
• Passion for health and wellbeing
• Highly organised and ability to think on your feet
• Great work ethic and enthusiasm
• Enjoy and take real pride in your work
