- Indicative Total Remuneration: $103,690 - $168,320 p.a. – Temp F/T (up to 24 months) – MDP2

The SA & NT Teaching Hospitals Rotational Training Scheme coordinates the rotation of Anaesthesia trainees to support the trainee in completing the Specialist training requirements of ANZCA. A multi-skilled position that offers responsibility, challenge and the chance to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated multidisciplinary team, you will provide professional clinical anaesthesia and related duties to the inpatients/outpatients of Flinders Medical Centre according to the relevant standards set by ANZCA and SA Health. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain a broad range of experience within this specialised area, where you will enjoy supervision and training in consultation with Supervisors of Training so that you may complete your Specialist Training.
It is essential that you hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Registered with the Medical Board Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration, you must be eligible for registration by ANZCA as anaesthesia trainee. Demonstrated knowledge of research principles, you will possess clinical skills appropriate to the level of training. You will enjoy working collaboratively and cohesively within a multidisciplinary environment, reflecting terrific communication and people skills, able to relate well to colleagues and other professional staff. With drive, initiative and good teaching skills, you will have the ability to act as a role model for medical students and junior medical staff.
The Training in anaesthesia encourages and supports teaching and research. The Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Public Hospital, Repatriation General Hospital, Lyell McEwin Health Service, Modbury Public Hospital, Mount Gambier Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Women's and Children's Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital are each accredited for advanced training in anaesthesia. The sites work collaboratively to offer a range of opportunities for Advanced Trainees. There is a single intake process for training at these sites - applicants may elect to be considered for one, two or three of these training programs. Offers will be made according to a merit based process accounting for trainee preference.
