Role Description
We are seeking a doctor keen on a career in Medicine who is intent on taking the College examinations. This role will involve working with rotating registrars . Teaching, both in formal settings, and on ward rounds and clinics is integral to the Bendigo approach. The successful applicant will be responsible for the care of about 15-20 acute medical patients with daily consultant input. Junior staff to assist will include 2 HMOs on a roster. There will be minimal night shifts rostered but there are weekend ward and MET duties as per roster with the other Medical Registrars.
The position has been designed to provide a wide range of opportunities to the successful candidate, there are daily consultant ward rounds and the opportunity to attend specialist outpatient clinics also (to be rostered – but include Endocrinology, Renal, Respiratory, gastroenterology.

Essential Criteria:
* PGY3+
* Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in internal medicine
* Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification
* General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia or eligible via competent authority pathway
* Effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be essential.
*An understanding of all the Royal Australasian College of Physician (RACP) basic training requirements.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
