Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School is an Anglican day school strongly committed to single-sex education for girls, catering for students from Early Learning Centre (Three Year Old) to Year 12. The School seeks to provide excellence in education within a caring Christian community and to prepare young women for a personally and professionally fulfilling life.
The Ivanhoe Girls’ School Performing Arts Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Instrumental Tutor - Bassoon. This opportunity offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the growth of young performers and assist students in realising their full potential.
We are seeking an exceptional and highly qualified tutor to join our dynamic and dedicated Music Faculty. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Proficiency in teaching bassoon at all levels
- Commitment to developing and expanding our bassoon program
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Preferably, the ability to teach clarinet and/or saxophone would be an advantage, as we would be able to offer more work.
This is a casual position, involving approximately 1.5 hours per week of teaching as part of the Year 7 and 8 Classroom Program, spread over a Tuesday morning. There are also potential opportunities to assist with co-curricular programs based on the candidate's availability and experience. As mentioned above, if the candidate can offer clarinet and/or saxophone instruction, we can offer more students as we build our bassoon program.
Staff at Ivanhoe Girls’ are expected to be committed to providing a stimulating, challenging, and creative learning environment for students. We encourage a collaborative approach, fostering strong relationships within our team.
If you are a talented and dedicated Bassoon Tutor with a genuine passion for education and a proven track record of nurturing aspiring performers, we encourage you to apply for this position.
