Bd Manager – Overhead Electrical Equipment

Our client is a world-wide market  leader for designing, Manufacturing and Distributing high quality components for use on electrical distribution networks across electrical distribution networks across Australia.

Currently there is a requirement to engage a Business Development Manager for this firms key market of T&D Overhead Products and equipment.

The purpose of this role is to lead the Product and Market development of the company’s Overhead range of products and accessories into the Electrical Transmission & Distribution (T&D) markets within Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific region.  This is an ideal Business Development Manager for this firms key market of T&D Overhead Products and equipment.

About You

• Potentially a current or former Engineer in the T&D or Utilities sector
• Strong business development (or potential) because of background within electrical T&D industry
• Minimum 10 years’ experience within the Electrical T&D industry / markets
• Preferably degree qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with sound technical background.
• The ability to gain sales and marketing skills to identify potential customers, promote the product range and convert into sales.
• Excellent literacy and oral communication skills to interact internally, externally on a local and international basis.
• Good leadership exposure– these may have been direct reports or people who reported on a project basis.
• Ability to work within a team environment to achieve personal and corporate goals.

About the role (Duties include):

• Develop and expand the T&D product range as necessary
• Set appropriate pricing policy to satisfy corporate goals
• Carry out required promotional activities in T&D market
• Presentation of product range to target customers
• Provide assistance with T&D budget development
• Development of key personnel to provide future business management capability
• Identification of key project opportunities
• Provide T&D product and market support for sales team
• Improve the company’s approach and understanding to the Transmission market
