The Role
Join our dedicated team as a Before School Care and Lunch Cover Assistant in our Early Childhood Centre. In this vital role, you will provide essential support, helping to contribute to the nurturing and development of our young children.
1 X Part-Time maximum Term 6-month appointment with opportunity to extend (casual candidates will also be considered)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children in the Early Childhood Centre
- Support the implementation of educational programs and activities that promote learning and development
- Provide caring supervision and engaging activities for children Before School hours and lunch cover
- Collaborate with the teaching staff to maintain a positive and supportive learning atmosphere
- Contribute to the maintenance of a clean, organised, and child-friendly space within the Early Childhood Centre
- Assist with administrative tasks related to Before School Care operations as required

About You
- Availability to work across Monday to Friday between 6.30am-2pm
- Previous experience working in an Early Childhood education setting
- Completed or working towards an ACECQA approved qualification (E.g. Diploma of Early Childhood Education)
- Understanding of and commitment to following Early ChildhoodCare and education regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and contribute to a positive team environment
All positions at Peninsula Grammar require:
- Current Working with Children Check & Police Check (or willingness to apply)
- First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management, CPR Training - Current or willing to complete
- Mandatory Child Safety training – provided by the school upon commencement
