NEW GRADUATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY
VACANCIES IN SYDNEY AND MELBOURNE
About the company and why us:
We are a small Behavioural therapy company focused on providing our staff with a positive and fun work culture. Our staff provide the highest level of care and support to our clients and caregivers to achieve the best positive outcomes. We provide our staff with ongoing professional development in a welcoming and family orientated team environment.
About the Role: As a Behaviour Therapist, you will be utilising the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to teach functional skills and replacement positive behaviours to manage challenging behaviours of children and adolescents with ASD and other related developmental disabilities. ABA is an evidence-based therapy that draws on positive reinforcement to increase the likelihood of a desired behaviour occurring naturally, while discouraging problematic behaviours through redirection and the teaching of functionally equivalent replacements. You will be performing ABA programs, whether in highly structured or in naturalistic settings, in a fun and engaging manner, whilst collating and mapping program and behaviour data, observing and managing challenging behaviours, implementing positive reinforcement strategies, and modifying therapy based on learning theories and practice tools. Your therapy sessions will be conducted in the client's home, daycare/school, or in the community (such as shops and parks). Furthermore, you will be required to attend and participate in clinic meetings to review program data on a fortnightly or monthly basis; these are usually held in the client's home. Employment will commence on a casual basis moving to permanent part time pending review at the end of a 3-month probation period. Generally, therapists are assigned a service area near or around their place of residence but may be required to travel further if required. We currently have work opportunities throughout Melbourne and Sydney's greater metropolitan areas.
Melbourne clients are located in the northern, eastern, western, and south-eastern regions, and surrounding areas
Sydney client’s are located in the Hawkesbury, Blue mountains, Inner City, Western Sydney, Northern beaches, Eastern suburbs, Southern Sydney and surrounding areas.
