About the role

We are delighted to announce that we are currently searching for the new role of Bench Assistants - Open Cut at our Townsville Quarry Services, Queensland. This role is perfect for those who are beginning their career and are ready to work hard, acquire new knowledge, and enjoy a competitive salary package and a career advantage. We favour applicants who live in or around Townsville.

What you will be doing

  • Showing and following our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
  • Aiding shotfirers and Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU) Truck Operators as necessary.
  • Assisting with the delivery of explosive products and loading explosives in blast holes.
  • Working in harmony with your teammates to provide outstanding service to our valued customers.
  • Acting with integrity and respect at all times.

What you will bring

  • The ability to pass all required security checks is required to obtain a QLD Explosives Security Clearance.
  • A high level of physical fitness and a love for working outdoors.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
  • Excellent, positive, and team-based attitude where you look out for your teammates.
  • A basic mechanical comprehension is advantageous,
  • A willingness to learn and a focus on career development.
  • Current Drivers licence.
