You will be responsible for creating compelling and visually appealing bid documents, proposals, and marketing materials. They will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop winning bid strategies.Nature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Melbourne, VIC or Brisbane, QLDReporting Line: Estimating and Proposals Manager – UtilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesFormatting Expertise:
- Utilise Microsoft and Adobe Suite software to create visually engaging layouts, infographics, and illustrations that enhance the presentation of bid materials.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive content for bid responses, executive summaries, and marketing collateral. Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Conduct research to gather relevant information for bid responses, including market trends, competitor analysis, and client requirements. Analyze bid documents to identify key themes and tailor content accordingly.
- Work closely with subject matter experts, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather input, refine messaging, and ensure accuracy in Bid Content. Coordinate with internal departments to obtain necessary information and approvals.
- Manage multiple bid projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring timely submission of high-quality deliverables. Track progress, communicate updates, and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies related to bid Formatting and content development. Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness of our bid efforts.
- Desirable: Bachelor's degree in graphic Formatting, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Experience working for a Utilities and Infrastructure contractor or provider.
- 2 years Demonstrated experience in Content and Formatting.
- Experience in a proposal team setting and working with operations groups.
- Proven experience in bid formatting, proposal development, or content creation within a professional services environment.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive and compelling content.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working under tight deadlines.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of bid management tools and processes is preferred.
- Portfolio showcasing previous bid Formatting and content projects is a plus.
