The opportunity
In this position you will make contact with newly arrived and culturally and linguistically diverse people and assist with their needs. You will identify issues affecting the health of newly arrived communities and respond by liaising with appropriate services and providing information sessions within the community to assist new arrivals to be able to better access the health system.
What you will bring
- Nepali Speaker
- An understanding of issues affecting people impacted by migration
- Experience in working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Experience in coordinating, managing, training and supporting volunteers
- Excellent general office administration and records management skills
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as outlook, word and excel
- Working with vulnerable people check
- Drivers Licence

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 3. Salary from $71,155.76 FTE + casual loading + superannuation + salary packaging.
